A Common Love

Who is the West Point church of Christ?

We are simply Christians, people who recognize Christ as our Lord and God.   We believe that God the Father sent His only son to this earth for our salvation and  that this marvelous gift is for all who hear His word and repent of their sins, confess His name and are buried with the Lord in the water of baptism for the forgiveness of their sins. Acts 2:38 .We are a non-denominational, autonomous group of Christians who are striving to pattern our worship and our lives after the principles of the New Testament.

The West Point church of Christ is located at the United States Military Academy.  Our members include Cadets attending West Point, active duty military members stationed at West Point, and civilians from the surrounding communities. Our purpose together is to teach and encourage one another in the Christian life and to do the will of our Lord.

The West Point church of Christ does not have qualified elders or deacons. Grant and Elizabeth Crawford and Scott and Audra Graham serve as points of contact.

During the academic year (Aug-May), we meet in the Cadet Interfaith Center (Building 147) on Howard Road next to Eisenhower Hall. In the summer we meet with the new cadets at the conclusion of the Trophy Point protestant service and with the second year cadets out at Camp Buckner.

We are involved in outreach to the cadets and community of West Point.  We try to have a retreat in the fall or spring and cadets are encouraged to invite their friends. God has blessed us with new Christian souls every year. Visitors are welcome to attend our worship services (photo ID required for all persons older than 16 to enter West Point). The church also meets on Tuesday nights (TNT) for Bible study and on some Saturday nights (STAND FIRM) for fellowship time together.

It is our desire and also our responsibility to spread the gospel of Christ as stated in Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
