Major and Mrs. Hawkins


     John and Linda met at the Danbury Church of Christ in Connecticut during his first weekend as a Firstie at West Point while Linda was working as an accountant for IBM.  They have been married over nine years and have two children, Brandon (4) and Kaitlyn (2).  After graduating from West Point in 1995, John served as a Field Artillery Officer while stationed at Fort Hood, TX and later at Fort Sill, OK.  After his Battery Command, he attended Texas A&M University where he obtained an MA degree specializing in Military History.  He currently teaches History of the Military Art primarily to Firsties and is working to complete his Ph D.  Linda stays home with their children and volunteers on post.  The Hawkins family is scheduled to leave West Point around June of 2007.
